Welcome To Economics
Economics is an exciting and relatively new subject for Tomlinson Hall Sixth Form. The subject is based on real life economic situations and will give students the opportunity to develop their analytical and evaluative skills.
It develops an understanding of economic concepts and theories through a critical consideration of current economic issues, problems and institutions as they are applied to everyday life and ‘real-world’ phenomena.
No prior knowledge of Economics or Business Studies is required for students opting to take A Level Economics. It is however recommended that candidates have attained communication and literacy skills at a level equivalent to GCSE Grade C in English; and numeracy skills at a level equivalent to GCSE Grade B in Mathematics.
