Welcome To Art

The course is intended to provide a natural progression from GCSE Art.

It is designed for students who wish to further their interests in the subject and to work in greater depth.

It aims to develop:

1 Intellectual, imaginative, creative and intuitive powers.

2 Investigative, analytical, practical, technical and experimental skills, aesthetic understanding and critical judgement.

3 An understanding of the interrelationships between art, craft and design and an awareness of the contexts in which they operate.

4 Knowledge and understanding of art, craft and design in contemporary society and in other times and cultures.
